pri## Community Guidelines

Effective Date: May 16, 2026

These Community Guidelines are a social contract between ExoRealms and its members. They reflect the kind of community we want to build together, one that is open, respectful, and worth being part of.

These guidelines do not replace or supersede the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, which govern your legal relationship with ExoRealms. In the event of any conflict between these guidelines and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.

When in doubt about whether something is allowed, ask yourself: does this make ExoRealms a better place for everyone? If the answer is no, don't do it.

1. Be a Good Person

1.1 Treat People with Respect: Engage with others the way you'd want to be treated. Disagreement is fine, even healthy, but keep it about ideas, not people.

1.2 No Harassment or Targeting: Do not harass, threaten, stalk, or coordinate campaigns against any individual or group. This applies both on and off the platform when the conduct originates here.

1.3 No Bullying: Do not demean, shame, or intimidate others. If someone asks you to stop engaging with them, stop.

1.4 Constructive Criticism: Feedback is welcome and encouraged. Critique the content or idea, not the person behind it.

2. Post Responsibly

2.1 Keep It Legal: Do not post anything that is illegal, that facilitates illegal activity, or that violates anyone else's rights.

2.2 No Hate Speech or Discrimination: Content that dehumanizes or calls for violence against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or similar characteristics is not welcome here.

2.3 No Explicit or Adult Content: Do not post pornographic, sexually explicit, or graphically violent content unless it is expressly permitted in a designated community space. When in doubt, don't.

2.4 Respect Copyright and Intellectual Property: Only share content you have the right to share. If you didn't create it and you don't have permission, don't post it. Give credit where it is due. Copyright violations may be reported to dmca@exorealms.com.

2.5 No Misinformation: Do not deliberately spread false or misleading information, particularly content that could cause real-world harm.

2.6 Protect Privacy: Do not post personal or private information about another person without their consent, this includes real names, addresses, phone numbers, photos, or any other identifying information ("doxxing").

3. Participate Authentically

3.1 Be Yourself: Do not impersonate any person, organization, or public figure in a way that is misleading or deceptive.

3.2 One Account Per Person: Do not create alternate accounts to evade moderation, ban circumvention, or otherwise manipulate the community.

3.3 No Manipulation: Do not artificially inflate votes, engagement, or visibility, whether through bots, coordinated groups, or other means.

3.4 Disclose Affiliations: If you are posting about something you have a personal or financial stake in, say so. Undisclosed self-promotion or advertising is not allowed.

4. Keep It on Topic

4.1 Stay Relevant: Contribute to conversations in a meaningful way. Off-topic posts, spam, and low-effort content clutter the community and make it worse for everyone.

4.2 No Spam or Unsolicited Promotion: Do not flood the platform with repetitive posts, unsolicited commercial content, or referral links.

4.3 Follow Community-Specific Rules: Individual communities within ExoRealms may have their own additional rules. Those rules apply within that community and are the responsibility of community moderators to enforce.

5. Reporting and Moderation

5.1 How to Report: If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines or the Terms of Service, please report it using the in-app reporting tool or by emailing support@exorealms.com. Please be specific, include links and context where possible.

5.2 Good-Faith Reporting: Use the reporting system in good faith. Abuse of the reporting system to target users you dislike is itself a violation of these guidelines.

5.3 What Happens Next: Our team reviews reports and takes action at our discretion. We do not guarantee a specific outcome or timeline, and we are not obligated to provide an explanation for moderation decisions.

6. Consequences

We want to keep enforcement minimal, the goal is a healthy community, not a policed one. But when violations occur, we may take any of the following actions, depending on severity and context:

  • A reminder or warning
  • Removal of specific content
  • Temporary restriction of posting privileges
  • Permanent account suspension

Severe violations, including illegal activity, threats of violence, or repeated targeted harassment, may result in immediate and permanent removal without prior warning.

ExoRealms reserves the right to take action on any conduct it deems harmful to the community or the platform, even if not explicitly listed here. All moderation decisions are final and at the sole discretion of ExoRealms.

7. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these guidelines as the community grows and evolves. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued participation in the community after changes are posted means you accept the updated guidelines.

Thanks for being part of ExoRealms. The community is what you make it, we're glad you're here.
